Tbilisi (GBC) – Trade-offs Today for Transformation Tomorrow in Middle East and Central Asia Region – with this name, on October 19, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) held economic discussions over Middle East and Central Asia economies.

The presentation was opened by Jihad Azour, the director of the IMF Middle East and Central Asia Department.

At the same time, Monica Malik, chief economist for Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank, Crescent Enterprises CEO Bard Jafar, principal of the American University’s Business School in Cairo Sherif Kamel and Abu Dhabi CNN, Connect the World’s presenter and managing director  Becky Anderson also delivered speech.

We remind you that the IMF’s last world economic review maintained Georgia’s 2021 economic growth forecast at 7.7%, but worsened the inflation prognosis to 9.3%, instead of previous 7.3%.
